World Compass is a simple offline map app for cycling, overlanding, trekking, and backpacking. It is designed to work without an internet connection once the map has been downloaded. This policy explains clearly what data the app uses and what it does not.

Data We Collect

Location World Compass can access your device's GPS location to show where you are on the map. This location data is used only within the app, in real time, to display your position. It is never stored, never transmitted to any server, and never shared with any third party.

Location access requires your explicit permission. You can grant or revoke this at any time in your device's Settings.

Map Tiles During the initial one-time download, World Compass fetches map tile data from OpenFreeMap (openfreemap.org), a free and open public tile service. This is a standard network request — no personal data or identifiers are sent as part of it. After the download is complete, the app operates fully offline and makes no further network requests.

Data We Do Not Collect

World Compass does not collect, store, or transmit:

• Your name, email address, or any account information

• Photos, files, or content from your device

• Usage data, analytics, or crash reports sent to the developer

• Any biometric data

There are no user accounts. There is no sign-in. There is no backend.

Third Parties

World Compass does not integrate any advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or third-party tracking tools. The only external service used is OpenFreeMap for the one-time map download, which is a public tile server that does not require an account or collect personal data.

Your Privacy Rights

Because World Compass does not collect or store any personal data, there is no data to access, correct, or delete. Your location is processed entirely on your device and is never seen by the developer.
